The Revenant by Michael Punke

“This was a title which many of the group did not enthuse about reading and wouldn’t have chosen for themselves but actually quite enjoyed. Many of the readers liked the historical detail, descriptions, and the realistic portrayal of the harsh life of the times, and found the book easy to read. Whilst gory in parts it was not as gory as the film which some of the group had seen. A few readers did find some things a little unrealistic, including the fact that Glass would have survived such horrific injuries, or felt that the ending was a little anti-climactic”. Average score 7.6 thanks, Karen
