About the Event
Our guest this evening will be Mark Harbury, husband to one of our members, who counts quilting as one of his hobbies. He started patchworking in his teens and is still quilting. This is perfect timing for those who read their February WILife magazine’s Star Letter about Project Linus, named after the Charles Schulz’s character in Peanuts. https://projectlinusuk.org.uk/ 45,624 quilts were donated in 2019 alone to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers.
We will also be making green patchwork hearts, every February hundreds of WIs take part in the Climate Coalition's Show the Love campaign, which revolves around community-based climate change action around Valentine's Day. The NFWI is a founding member of The Climate Coalition (TCC), the UK’s largest group of people dedicated to action on climate change and limiting its impact on the people, places and life we love at home in the UK and around the world. The aim of Show the Love is to start a conversation about climate change.
Voting slips will be on the tables for you to make your preferred choice of Resolutions, details of which can be found on February's Newsletter
