'We had another interesting discussion about the book ' All The Light We Cannot See' by Anthony Doerr. This was not, generally, a very high scoring book . The average was 5.6 out of 10.

Some comments that were made were:

'Didn't like the flicking backwards and forwards.'
'Needed a bit more story. Nothing much happened.'
'Didn't like the short chapters and flitting backwards and forwards.'
'Not riveting, tended to scan read it.'
'No empathy with the characters, but definitely preferred Werner.'
'Enjoying the book but only half way through!'
'Enjoyed the book , especially from the civilians point of view in St Malo.'
'It is a book that makes you think about other people's lives and experiences.'
'Good characterisation and able to empathise with the people.'

So a few conflicting opinions about this book. That is why it is such fun to get together and hear everyone else's opinions, theories and conclusions.'
